About
Formed in 1985, the Club has trained more than 100 glider pilots, ranging in age from 14 to over 70. The Club is operated by volunteer members who support and provide members with ground and flight instruction, tow services, and gliders. Members do not pay for instruction, but do pay glider rent, tow charges, and monthly dues to pay for operating expenses.
Our Mission
The Omaha Soaring Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching and providing safe, inexpensive soaring flight to its members and the public. We promote all phases of soaring, from beginning instruction through cross-country flight.
